Ozone for Carpet Cleaning Service

Mother Nature’s most potent cleaner/sanitizer is now available for your home and business and is a safe alternative to dangerous chemicals. Ozone, a gas created by nature, combines oxygen in the air and the ultraviolet rays of the sun or corona discharge that occurs during a lightning storm; this gives the air that clean, spring rain aroma we all love.

It eliminates bacteria, viruses, germs, and odor, and is one of the most potent disinfectants available. Whether it’s used for a hotel’s pools and spas or a residential backyard oasis, ozone can reduce your reliance on chemicals by up to 90 percent! Best, it has no harmful effects for children and pets, so your family stays safe while your home is cleaned of nasty viruses.

Many benefits can be derived from using ozone:

No harsh chemicals
Ph balanced
No high heat water or steam
No residue
Most powerful oxidizing agent you can legally use
3000 times stronger than bleach
Safe for food
Gets deep into fabrics to eliminate odors and bacteria
Save YOU money

Most carpet cleaning professionals in the industry may not know of the aqueous ozone generators manufactured by Ozone Clean Pro. When every attempt to kill odor can’t be achieved, these systems are most often brought in to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and smell. Ozone can be used in many applications, including:

How Ozone Works

Once Ozone is produced, it reacts with a pollutant (often long-chain carbon molecules). It then breaks down into less complex (and usually less harmful) molecules through oxidation. A generator mechanically infuses ozone into the water, air, or other surfaces, disinfecting, purifying, and cleaning. As a safe process, ozone cleansing only produces oxygen, so there are no harmful effects from dangerous chemicals.

According to a September 2015 study conducted by the University of Nebraska Medical Center, a decrease in E-coli and Listeria on areas treated by ozone saw a significant decline. Moreover, they found it was as effective as the main bacteria-killing ingredient in many hospital-grade disinfectants.

Ozone in Carpet Cleaning

On April 14, 2015, a report by the National Ozone Association found the use of aqueous ozone to clean carpet offers a practical and safer alternative to the traditional carpet extraction since it uses no soap or similar chemicals. “It’s a little unexpected because [so few] understand how ozonated water works.” It noted that aqueous ozone cleans with cold water, making it a more sustainable cleaning option and an eco-friendly solution.

According to one Modesto, CA, carpet cleaner who uses ozonated water to clean carpet, he stated that he’s getting stains out of the carpet without using chemicals and that the clients like the results. He says, “I know it is doing the job because I am seeing the dirty water come out of the waste tank [and] it does not have the foul smell I’m used to. I have actually reused the [waste] water to feed their lawn.”

Is Ozone the Future?

According to one Modesto, CA, carpet cleaner who uses ozonated water to clean carpet, he stated that he’s getting stains out of the carpet without using chemicals and that the clients like the results. • Cleaning/carpet cleaning professionals becoming aware of aqueous ozone cleaning
  • Advocates for green cleaning are promoting its no-chemical attributes.
  • Studies, like the one mentioned earlier, are indicating it’s effective.
